Massachusetts Woman Killed in Car Accident

A head-on collision with a semi-truck claimed the life of a Massachusetts woman, Friday morning, on Interstate 80.

A Plymouth was heading east on I-80 when the driver lost control of the vehicle, going through the center median and into the westbound lanes where it crashed head-on into the semi-truck, according to state police.

The semi-tanker truck was transporting non-hazardous materials and unable to stop before crashing into the car.

The truck driver, 43, was transported to the local hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of Plymouth, 18, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. The accident is still under investigation.
